Ubuntu ShipIt

I ordered a bunch of Ubuntu CDs on 13 Feb 2006. Today I was running errands all morning when I got a call from TNT telling me about an urgent shipment. I wasn't expecting anything urgent really, but briefly stopped over back home for an hour to receive it: Ubuntu CDs. The package weighs about 4 kg and was delivered from the Netherlands with Next Morning Delivery. I imagine such an international shipment must have cost a fortune -- I once spent 110 € to have a single DVD delivered from Switzerland to Germany by the next morning.

So now I have the CDs in my hands, more than two weeks after I ordered them. I do not criticise ShipIt for taking so long to review and approve my request (really not). But wouldn't it make sense to choose the carrier method according to the processing speed of the rest of the order handling?
