Guinness was out on promotion in the pub where we played pool last night. In a leaflet they share the Guinness grandmaster’s secrets to getting more enjoyment from the stout:

Push your lips past the head and draw up only the dark stuff.

It’s actually well worth a try to suck on it that way.
