I wonder if this would be at all possible:
1. find folks who have problem hardware
2. find the developers who would benefit from testing on that
hardware
3. devise a system where the hardware would be loaned and be
returned (if desired)
4. Profit!
I guess some manufacturers give hardware for testing, but not all.
So maybe individuals could loan hardware to developers. Or maybe
many folks could create a pool of money to buy a piece of problem
hardware and donate to get it supported? And I supposes since all
Gnu systems would benfits, the cost could be distributed amongst
all 100+ distro users? Maybe the hardware could be raffled off
afterwards to the folks who donated to make it interesting? Would
Debian(or similar) consider using some of its hard-to-use funds for
this?
